Located at 20122 U.S. Hwy 281 N, San Antonio, TX 78258, Mission Shine Car Wash operates as a self-service car wash serving San Antonio in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under car wash, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

In San Antonio, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Texas, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Mission Shine Car Wash at (726) 215-4005; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, missionshinecarwash.com.

Its Google rating stands at 3.2 out of 5 from 9 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

San Antonio is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around San Antonio is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Fed my coins in to wash - got zero soap at all out of the high pressure sprayer, although soap did come out on the foam brush. Switched bays, tried again, same exact thing - no soap at all with the high pressure wand (and yes I had the selector switch on the correct setting both times). Too bad - it's pretty convenient to me but not gonna pay that much to basically rinse my car off with plain water. I didn't call management at the time but I would think soap is the bare minimum expectation.

Been coming here for over a decade and it has fallen off badly. No high pressure soap, no conditioner, half the bays don’t work as they should and most of the settings just spray water. Went to four different bays today spent $20 just to leave after rinsing my car with nothing but water. Has so much potential for car enthusiasts and just owners who want to wash their cars themselves but this business is being seriously neglected, won’t be returning.

Everything worked on the wash bay. Two small things for the price small amount of time given. Other thing is not allowing to wash with bucket when u are still paying

I usually wash my car at home but it was the middle of the day and warm out so instead of doing in the driveway in the sun, I checked out Mission for the first time based on the previous reviews and being the closest to my house. I paid with card and it was easy to access the car washing tools. I liked that there was so many bays to wash in and well shaded in the early afternoon. The car washing tools were in good working order and I liked the air blowers that were available in the washing bays which I’ve never seen before. The price per minute was acceptable and there were plenty of bays for using the vacuums and drying off with my lint free cloths. To note, there were a couple of bays that had heaps of muds in them (not a knock on Mission but I wish people would knock the big chunks off where they picked up the mud before dumping them in the bays where other people are going to frequent). Lastly, all the trash cans were upside down on the property and not available for use. Not sure if that’s a weekend thing because there’s no one on site to service them or people are just dumping their trash there without using the facilities. All and all, when I need to wash my car and not doin
